Designated by former president Carlos Saul Menem as the first national historic town in Argentina, Capilla del Senor lies 90 km to the north of Buenos Aires. The city's name translates to “chapel of the lord”. The surrounding countryside is flat and popular for farmers and dairy farmers. Tourists can enjoy a stay at one of the well known “estancias” and enjoy the local lifestyle. For a bit more action you can always throw yourself into one of the hot air balloons and gaze at the scenery from above. The colonial air is reflected in the easy go lifestyle of the locals here and before you know it, you will feel right at home in Capilla del Senor.
Ever since the Argentina banking sector collapsed in 2002, property developers and investors have enjoyed a tremendous property boom. Industry specialists say that this isn't supposed to diminish quickly which makes Argentina as a whole a very attractive destination for property investors who want more for their portfolio. Land outside the big cities is dirt cheap and some amazing properties can be found when going off the beaten track a little.
